No, you silly, not the illness, but simply some bad weather. Haha, sorry, I had to do this British grandma joke... So, we are still healthy, but the weather is not as nice as before. The morning started off still sunny, but chilly AF, so the morning yoga and meditation was a little less fun. I make it sound worse than it was, but my toes certainly not very happy with me, but we still got out, I’m proud of us.
It was then time to clean up yesterday’s mess, getting rid of all the bamboo I cut yesterday, and Aisling returned to her rock garden. Now I’m sure you are bored of all our gardening projects, so I’ll spare you the details of that.
I whipped up a lovely vegetable soup, like I learned from my grandma. And guess what? I’m in the mood to share that with you, so tomorrow I’ll collect my thoughts and put the recipe on here, because it is one of the best comfort foods on cold days like this and it is super easy to make!
By the afternoon the weather really turned for the worse, so after one last run for the week (40+ km this week), we curled up in bed and called some old friends, Gergő and Dorci. We used up all my remaining UK mobile data, skyping for around 3 hours. It’s been ages since we’ve seen each other in person, plus a lot to discuss about the current state of the world – we are living in weird times after all.
This does lead me onto another thought: despite not being able to meet each other in person, in many senses this situation is bringing me into contact with people who I haven’t been keeping up with properly. Suddenly everyone is home, everyone has more time and everyone is a little bored, so this is a great time to write a message to old friends, schedule calls and catch up on relationships you’ve neglected.
