My Favorite Drone Photos

Aisling and I are on a little trip around Andalusia now, so I hope that this post actually goes out on time! Let’s see how well the Squarespace scheduler works... Since we are on the trip and I just got rid of my drone, I thought it would be cool to look back at some of my favorite photos I took with it. Don’t worry, I will have a drone again at some point in the future, because making this post already made me miss it. But I am convinced that it was a good idea to let go of this particular drone for now. If you want to read about why I sold it, check out last week’s blogpost. And for now? Just enjoy some cool drone photos!

Shots From Around the UK

When I first got my drone, I started testing it around Cambridge.

I took it out on a really windy day in Hunstanton. No crashes luckily!

I got lucky with a sunny day in the Lake District on a Hillwalking Club trip.

We did a survey of the Norfolk salt marshes with Gilad and Alec.

Archaeology

I used the drone in to help out with an excavation in Százhalombatta and while writing my undergraduate dissertation about drone surveying, in which I used it to create a highly detailed survey of the Belsar’s Hill Iron Age earthworks site.

Bulgaria

We took the drone on our roadtrip around Bulgaria in the summer with Aisling.

Spain

Granada has plenty of interesting places nearby… Sacromonte Abbey, Dehesa del Generalife, the valley of Río Genil and a million other places!

Güéjar Sierra and the Sierra de Huétor also offer some great views!

Finally: my favorite trip in Spain so far! Our trip to Cuevas del Campo with Aisling, hiking, kayaking and exploring around Lake Negratín and the stunning area around there. I think I took my best drone photos on this trip!
